Do you have an old DUI conviction that continues to follow you?
Due to a recent change in the law, if you were convicted of a First Offense DUI, you may now be eligible to have the conviction and arrest erased from your record through an expungement. Last year Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant signed into law House Bill 481, making First Offense DUI convictions expungeable when certain qualifications are met. Subject to an amendment currently before the Legislature, the law will take effect on October 1, 2014.
