ABOUT:

Marjorie practices in the areas of workers’ compensation and general insurance defense representing both insurance companies and self-insured employers. She serves as a mediator for workers’ compensation cases and for general liability cases. She is a frequent lecturer at seminars and workshops on the subject of workers’ compensation from the perspective of the employer and carrier.

Marjorie served as an adjunct professor of Federal Trial Practice at the University of Mississippi School of Law for several years and was a member of the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions. She is a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation and served three years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation. She previously served as a board member and officer for the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Mississippi Bar and is a member of the Kids’ Chance of Mississippi Scholarship Committee. Marjorie was the recipient of the Kenneth G. Perry Professionalism Award in 2011, which was presented by the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Mississippi Bar. She currently serves as Chairman of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission Advisory Council, chosen by the Chairman of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission, to advise the Commission. Marjorie is also a current board member for the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Mississippi Bar.
